Counsel — Finance, Bankruptcy & Restructuring

Seeking a Counsel to join a multi-office Finance, Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice focused on commercial lending and local counsel opinion work. The role centers on preparing, coordinating, and managing local counsel opinions for commercial lending transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison with referring counsel to resolve jurisdictional issues, negotiate opinion language, and partner with deal teams to deliver accurate opinions on tight timelines. This is a non-partner counsel track role with reduced billable hour expectations.

• 3–6 years' experience in equipment finance, asset‑based lending, or commercial finance.
• Prior experience preparing commercial lending local counsel opinions; real estate local counsel opinion experience preferred but not required.
• Strong legal writing, attention to detail, and judgment in legal analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple opinion workflows, work independently, and meet tight deadlines across jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating across offices and with outside counsel.
• Admitted to practice, or eligible for admission, in the jurisdiction corresponding to the hiring office.
