A growing cross-border cyber, data and privacy practice group is seeking an associate to join its US team, with the role open across multiple US offices. The group advises a broad range of clients — from emerging and public companies to leading technology companies, financial institutions, life sciences companies and national media organizations — on their most sensitive data and security issues.

The work spans a substantial counseling and advisory component alongside support on the privacy and cybersecurity aspects of corporate and technology transactions, incident preparedness and response, state and federal investigations, and litigation. The team includes a significant number of attorneys working full time on these issues across the US, Europe and Asia, and the US practice is continuing to expand.

This is an opportunity to take on direct client engagement, lead significant projects, and work within a deeply specialized, internationally integrated team.

Four to seven years of experience advising clients on cyber, data and privacy compliance, gained at a law firm or in-house
Experience with CCPA, CPRA, GDPR and other privacy law compliance
Familiarity with information security and privacy due diligence for corporate transactions
Experience drafting data processing agreements and privacy schedules in commercial transactions
Background in data breach response and incident response planning
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
Ability to engage directly with clients and lead significant projects
Very strong analytical and writing skills
