Growing US cyber/data/privacy team is seeking a mid-level associate (4–7 years PQE) to join its offices in New York, San Francisco, Seattle or Washington, DC. The group advises a broad range of clients across technology, life sciences, financial services and media on privacy, data security and regulatory matters.

Day-to-day work will be advisory and transactional, including compliance counseling (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and other privacy regimes), privacy and security diligence for deals, drafting and negotiating data processing agreements and privacy schedules, and incident preparedness and response. The role offers client-facing responsibility and opportunities to lead substantial projects within a global practice of privacy and cybersecurity attorneys.

4–7 years post-qualification experience advising on privacy, data security and regulatory compliance (private practice or in-house)
Practical experience with CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and other privacy frameworks; data breach/incident response planning
Experience handling privacy/security diligence and drafting data processing agreements and privacy schedules for transactions
Excellent academic credentials, strong analytical and drafting skills, and proven ability to work directly with clients
