A growing cyber, data and privacy practice is seeking an associate to join its team, with the role open across multiple major US markets. The group is part of a substantial international platform with dozens of attorneys dedicated full time to privacy, data protection and cybersecurity matters across the US, Europe and Asia, and the US practice continues to expand.

The team advises a diverse client base including emerging and public companies, leading technology businesses, financial institutions, life sciences companies and national media organizations. Work spans counseling and advisory matters as well as the privacy and cybersecurity aspects of corporate and technology transactions, incident preparedness and response, state and federal investigations, and related litigation.

This is a client-facing role with substantial responsibility, including direct engagement with clients and leadership of significant projects within a collaborative, cross-border team.

Four to seven years of experience advising clients on cyber, data and privacy compliance, gained at a law firm or in-house
Familiarity with CCPA, CPRA, GDPR and other privacy law compliance frameworks
Experience with information security and privacy due diligence for corporate transactions, and with data processing agreements and privacy schedules in commercial transactions
Experience with data breach response and incident response planning
Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
Demonstrated ability to engage directly with clients and lead significant projects
Very strong analytical and writing skills
