A well-established, internationally focused Cyber/Data/Privacy practice group is seeking an associate to join its growing U.S. team. The group brings together over 30 attorneys across the U.S., Europe and Asia focused full-time on privacy, data protection, cybersecurity and related advisory work.

The role sits within a broad practice that counsels a diverse client base — including emerging companies, public companies, leading technology companies, financial institutions, life sciences companies and national media companies — on the privacy and cybersecurity aspects of their operations and transactions.

This is a primarily advisory position involving cyber/data/privacy compliance counseling, with additional exposure to the privacy and cybersecurity dimensions of corporate and technology transactions, incident preparedness and response, and state and federal investigations. The group is actively expanding its U.S. presence, making this an opportunity to help shape and grow the practice.

Four to seven years of experience advising clients on cyber/data/privacy compliance, gained at a law firm or in-house
Experience with CCPA, CPRA, GDPR and other privacy law compliance
Familiarity with information security and privacy due diligence for corporate transactions
Experience with data processing agreements and privacy schedules in commercial transactions
Data breach response and incident response planning experience
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
Ability to engage directly with clients and lead significant projects
Very strong analytical and writing skills
