A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its dedicated Cyber/Data/Privacy practice group. The team advises a diverse client base — including emerging and public companies, leading technology companies, financial institutions, life sciences companies, and national media companies — on privacy and cybersecurity matters across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The role combines a substantial counseling and advisory component with work on privacy and cybersecurity aspects of corporate and technology transactions, incident preparedness and response, state and federal investigations, and litigation. The group is expanding its US practice and offers the opportunity to engage directly with clients and lead significant projects.

This position is open across multiple US offices.

Four to seven years of experience advising clients on cyber/data/privacy compliance issues, in a law firm or in-house setting
Familiarity with CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and other privacy law compliance
Experience with information security and privacy due diligence for corporate transactions
Experience drafting data processing agreements and privacy schedules in commercial transactions
Experience with data breach response and incident response planning
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
Ability to engage directly with clients and lead significant projects
Very strong analytical and writing skills
