Emerging Growth & Venture Capital Associate (San Diego)

An Am Law 20 firm is seeking junior, mid-level, and senior associates to join its Emerging Growth & Venture Capital group in San Diego. Associates will focus primarily on representing emerging growth companies and the institutional investors that support them.

The ideal candidates will have at least two years' experience representing both institutional investors and issuers in venture capital financings, along with experience in M&A transactions and advising emerging growth companies on day-to-day corporate matters.

This is a collaborative, fast-paced environment offering meaningful work and professional growth, with a hybrid work arrangement that includes regular in-office presence and some flexibility for remote work.

• At least 2 years of emerging growth and venture capital experience
• Experience representing both institutional investors and issuers in venture capital financings
• Experience with M&A transactions and advising emerging growth companies on corporate matters
• JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in California
• Excellent written and verbal communication, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and business judgment
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
• Am Law 100 firm experience preferred
