Employee Benefits Associate — Houston

Top-tier U.S. law firm is seeking an associate to join its Employee Benefits (ERISA) practice in the Houston office. The role offers exposure to qualified retirement plans, multiemployer pension matters, health and welfare plans and ACA compliance within a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on ERISA and employee benefits experience and will work on matters that intersect with M&A and restructuring. The group emphasizes professional development and offers the opportunity to build substantive ERISA transactional and advisory expertise.

• 1–4 years of post-qualification experience handling ERISA and employee benefits matters
• Experience with qualified retirement plans, multiemployer pension plans, health & welfare plans, and ACA compliance
• Transactional experience (M&A and/or restructuring) involving employee benefits preferred
• Related backgrounds in tax, labor/benefits advising, consulting, or accounting will be considered; executive compensation experience is a plus
