We are seeking an Employee Benefits / Executive Compensation associate to join a major New York practice. The role focuses on advising public and private companies on executive compensation, equity and equity-based plans, bonus plans and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements.

The team regularly works on matters connected to mergers & acquisitions and collaborates with corporate, tax, bankruptcy and employment colleagues. This is a firm-side law firm role that offers exposure to complex transactional and advisory work for sophisticated clients.

Applicants must be admitted to the New York Bar and have prior law firm experience in executive compensation and employee benefits.

  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a law firm (big-law experience preferred)
  • Prior experience in executive compensation and employee benefits, including equity/equity-based plans
  • Admitted to the New York Bar
  • Experience advising on compensation issues in M&A and working cross-functionally with corporate, tax and employment teams
  • Familiarity with tax-qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans is a plus
