Apply in confidence →Mid-level associate opportunity to join a busy Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation team in the Chicago office of a global law firm. The team advises on executive compensation, equity plans and agreements, retention packages, retirement and welfare plans, and employee benefits issues arising in corporate transactions, with significant work linked to private equity deals.
Responsibilities include legal research and drafting, supporting and managing transactions, client communications, and collaboration with deal and tax teams. The role offers exposure to high-level client calls and meetings and opportunities for professional development within a collaborative, supportive practice.
Hybrid working with regular in-office attendance is expected.
- JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Illinois
- Approximately 3 years' relevant corporate experience (employee benefits/exec comp focus)
- Experience with equity compensation, executive retention arrangements, and benefits issues in M&A/private equity transactions preferred
- Strong legal research, drafting, communication, organizational and client-management skills
