Top-tier US law firm is seeking a junior-to-mid level Employment & Labor associate to join its California employment practice. This role is open across multiple California offices (including San Diego, Los Angeles and Santa Monica) and involves both litigation and counseling work for a broad range of employer-side matters.

The successful candidate will handle case development, legal research and writing, discovery and witness preparation, investigations and brief drafting, as well as providing employment counseling on policies, compliance, and employment/separation agreements. The team offers mentoring opportunities and a full professional-development program.

  • 2–5 years post-qualification experience in employment and labor law
  • Current admission to the California bar
  • Experience with case development, discovery, witness interviews/investigations, and brief writing
  • Employment counseling experience: policies, statutory/regulatory compliance, and employment/separation agreements
  • Strong academic credentials, excellent legal writing and communication skills, and willingness to mentor junior lawyers
