12-month full-time (hybrid) legal consultant role supporting a large financial services organisation. The role sits within a flexible legal resourcing team and will provide both day-to-day employment law advice and support on complex workplace issues.

You will manage a range of employment matters including compliance with work health & safety and anti-discrimination obligations, engagement with employment regulators, and stakeholder-facing issues. The role requires clear, pragmatic drafting and the ability to translate complex legal positions for business audiences.

This is a client-facing position that offers variety and exposure across employment and regulatory workstreams. Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and hold a current practising certificate.

  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in employment law (private practice or in-house)
  • Strong experience with WHS and anti-discrimination issues
  • Proven experience engaging with employment regulators (e.g. Fair Work bodies) and managing external-facing matters
  • Ability to provide BAU employment support and manage complex internal matters
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to simplify technical issues for business audiences
  • Current practising certificate and right to live and work in Australia
  • Payroll remediation experience not required
