A law firm with a national labor & employment practice is hiring an associate to join its White Plains office focused on employer-side employment litigation and counseling. The role involves defending employers in a broad range of employment disputes and agency matters, and supporting preventive work for clients.

Day-to-day responsibilities include litigating employment claims and agency charges, representing employers in court, arbitration, mediations and administrative hearings, and advising, counseling and training employer clients on employment and labor issues. The position will handle individual and class/collective matters, discrimination, retaliation, contract and related employment torts.

The firm offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility. Compensation for this office is posted as a disclosed range and will be based on experience and other lawful factors.

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience; employment litigation experience preferred
  • Admission to the New York bar in good standing
  • Familiarity with state and federal agency procedures and employment litigation processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and project-management skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
