Apply in confidence →Top-tier US law firm Tax practice is seeking an associate with 3–6 years of post-JD experience to join its Executive Compensation & Benefits group. The role sits on the tax side of executive compensation and employee benefits work and will support transactions, counseling, and plan design across public and private employer clients.
Team responsibilities include advising on ERISA and compensation tax matters, drafting plan and agreement language, and working collaboratively with benefits, tax, and transactional teams. The role is open to candidates willing to be based in Washington, D.C., Boston, or New York.
- 3–6 years of post-JD experience with a focus on executive compensation, employee benefits, or ERISA-related tax work
- Practical experience drafting deferred compensation arrangements, equity plans, executive agreements, or plan documents
- Strong knowledge of tax rules affecting executive compensation and familiarity with ERISA and related regulatory issues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work on cross-functional teams
