Finance Associate, Restructuring & Special Situations — Los Angeles

Leading restructuring team in Los Angeles seeks a finance associate to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice. The role focuses on financings and special situations work at the top of the capital structure in both chapter 11 and out-of-court restructurings.

Successful candidates will work on liability management transactions, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financings, bankruptcy exit financings and other special-situations financings for financial institutions and investment funds. The team handles complex, high-profile matters and offers exposure to sophisticated creditors- and borrower-side representations.

• Law school class years 2019–2023 (or equivalent recent graduate)
• Prior experience representing creditors or borrowers on liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings and/or special-situations financings
• Comfort working on top-of-capital-structure matters involving hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds and other financial institutions
• Strong drafting, analytical and deal-management skills in complex restructuring matters
