Top-tier firm seeking a Government Contracts associate to join a busy Washington, D.C. practice handling procurement-related matters including bid protests, claims litigation, compliance counseling, and government-contracts-related M&A due diligence. The role offers exposure to complex transactional and contentious work across federal procurement matters.

Associates will perform legal research and drafting, support and manage matters from inception through resolution, participate in hearings and negotiations, and advise internal and external clients on compliance and risk mitigation. The position involves regular collaboration with cross-functional teams and opportunities for substantive client-facing work.

The team supports professional development and encourages participation in pro bono, firm initiatives, and community engagement. The role is hybrid with a regular in-office presence required.

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; strong academic record (minimum GPA 3.5 indicated)
  • 2–5 years of government contracts / procurement experience (AmLaw 100 firm experience or equivalent preferred)
  • Experience with government-contracts M&A due diligence, bid protests, investigations, or compliance counseling
  • Admitted to the DC Bar or able to obtain admission
  • Excellent legal research, writing, communication, and organizational skills
