A nationally prominent law firm seeks a senior associate to join its Government Contracts and National Security practice groups in Washington, DC. The role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing practice and office, supporting clients on both transactional and regulatory matters at the intersection of government contracting and national security.

The position involves substantial government contracts transactional support, including M&A and structured investments, as well as facility security clearance and foreign ownership, control, and influence analyses. The associate will also advise on regulatory and compliance matters, including small business set-aside programs, SBIR and STTR awards, rights in technical data, software and subject inventions, cybersecurity and CMMC compliance, and the negotiation of prime contracts, subcontracts, and teaming agreements.

Candidates should be capable of managing a variety of short-deadline assignments while consistently producing work product of superior quality, and should bring excellent writing skills and a strong academic record.

Five or more years of government contracts practice experience, including meaningful transactional and counseling work
Experience with government contracts transactional support (M&A and structured investments)
Familiarity with facility security clearances and FOCI analyses
Regulatory counseling experience across small business set-aside programs, SBIR/STTR awards, technical data and software rights, and cybersecurity/CMMC compliance
Ability to multi-task on short-deadline assignments while producing high-quality work product
Excellent writing skills and a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
