Insurance Coverage Associate — Houston

An internationally recognized insurance coverage practice is seeking an associate with 3–5 years of significant insurance coverage experience to join its Houston office. The firm's coverage team is one of the largest in the field, handling complex matters for insurance industry clients across the United States and internationally.

The role involves analyzing complex coverage questions, preparing coverage opinions, and litigating first- and third-party claims across multiple lines of coverage, including bad faith. You will work with primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies, on matters spanning bad faith, casualty and specialty lines, professional liability, property, and strategic risk and complex litigation.

This is a hands-on litigation role with real responsibility, including depositions, court conferences, and drafting and arguing motions. The position is open to remote candidates located in Texas.

• 3–5 years of significant insurance coverage experience
• Experience analyzing coverage, preparing coverage opinions, and litigating first- and third-party claims and bad faith matters
• Litigation experience including depositions, court conferences, and drafting and arguing motions
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills; excellent academic credentials
• Admission to the Texas Bar
• Deposition and trial experience preferred but not required
