Apply in confidence →We are seeking an associate to join a growing international trade practice in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. The role involves handling a range of trade-focused regulatory and transactional matters, including CFIUS reviews, customs/imports, sanctions, export controls, and trade remedies.
The position requires advising clients, preparing regulatory filings and submissions, representing clients before government agencies and in administrative proceedings, and working collaboratively across offices and practice groups. The team environment is fast-paced and supportive, with opportunities to develop substantive expertise in U.S. trade law.
- Experience in international trade law; hands-on experience with CFIUS, customs compliance, export controls, sanctions, or trade remedies preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage matters independently and work effectively on teams
- Excellent communication skills and strong academic credentials
- Admission to the D.C. Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
