12-month, full-time (hybrid) legal role supporting a major distribution business through a flexible legal resourcing platform attached to a global law firm. The role provides a mix of advisory, contract drafting/negotiation and transactional support across IT and general commercial matters.

You'll work closely with business units and corporate functions to identify and mitigate legal, compliance and regulatory risks related to IT, produce guidance/alerts for the business, and engage external counsel when required. The position requires a pragmatic, commercially minded lawyer who can manage competing priorities and deliver timely, high-quality advice.

Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience in IT/technology law
Proven commercial contracting and transactional skills (IT and general commercial agreements)
Knowledge of privacy & data protection and relevant IT regulatory landscape in Australia
Experience advising on IT-related compliance, risk management and stakeholder engagement
Current practising certificate and right to live and work in Australia
Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving and time-management skills
