Apply in confidence →One‑year contract role (possible extension) for a lawyer to lead knowledge‑management and legal‑technology initiatives within a major Toronto practice. The role combines content creation and organisation of knowledge products with hands‑on evaluation, implementation and optimisation of legal tech, including generative AI tools.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining model documents and playbooks, curating prior knowledge for reuse, developing user documentation and training, coaching lawyers and business teams on practice tools, and managing projects and vendor relationships. The position is hybrid (three days in office per week) with occasional travel and flexibility for onboarding.
- LLB or JD from a reputable law school.
- Minimum 4 years’ post‑qualification experience in a large Canadian law firm or reputable in‑house legal team.
- Demonstrated interest and experience with legal technology and emerging AI tools; willingness to learn new applications.
- Strong drafting, research and commercial legal skills; high attention to detail.
- Experience developing training materials, delivering presentations and coaching senior users.
- Project management experience and strong organisational skills.
- Comfortable with common productivity software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and troubleshooting new tools.
- Ability to work outside regular hours occasionally and travel as required.
