An Am Law 20 firm is seeking a Knowledge Management Lawyer to support its Private Funds practice group. In partnership with the group's KM Counsel and the wider Knowledge & Innovation Department, this role will shape and deliver the group's knowledge strategy, developing practical solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness across the practice.

The position focuses heavily on knowledge capture and practice technology. The successful candidate will design and maintain forms, precedents, checklists, and other substantive know-how; manage matter data and experience profiles; and build dashboards and reports that surface insights for internal and client audiences.

There is a strong AI and legal technology component: evaluating and piloting new tools, supporting attorneys with AI solution selection and prompt design, and collaborating with practice solutions and analytics teams to deliver training. The role also contributes to thought leadership, benchmarking reports, pitch materials, client engagement, and training and mentorship of associates.

This is a hybrid role based in New York.

J.D. required
Minimum of five years of private funds practice experience at a large law firm
Experience with fund transactions, including secondaries, preferred
Extensive knowledge of relevant legal practices and documents
Demonstrated interest in AI and legal technology
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; self-starter with sound business judgment
