Established national employment practice seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel to join the Houston office. The role involves high‑level client counseling and litigation support for a mix of local and national employer clients within a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include legal research and drafting (memoranda, motions, pleadings), handling discovery and investigations, attending court conferences, preparing dispositive motions and position statements, and advising clients and interacting with agencies and opposing counsel.

The office emphasizes attorney development, regular firmwide in‑person conferences, and opportunities for writing, speaking, and professional training within a large employment law practice.

Juris Doctor and admission to the Texas bar (or ability to become admitted)
Substantial experience in labor and employment law, including litigation and counseling employers
Strong legal research, analytical and writing skills; experience drafting motions and pleadings
Comfortable interfacing with clients, government agencies, and opposing counsel; collaborative team player
