Lateral Partner, Private Equity (Houston)

This is an ongoing confidential partner search. The mandate is reviewed on a rolling basis with the client, and what follows is the current brief.

Senior private equity partner hire to lead and grow a busy corporate/private equity practice from the Houston office of a major national firm. The role focuses on advising PE sponsors, leading buyouts, minority investments and sponsor-backed portfolio company matters, while partnering with transactional and financing teams across U.S. offices.

The successful candidate will be client-facing and business-development focused, handling deal execution, originating new relationships, mentoring junior lawyers, and helping shape strategic growth in the region.

• Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
• Established track record in private equity transactions, including buyouts and sponsor-side representation
• Proven origination and client-management skills with strong regional relationships
• Experience leading deal teams and mentoring associates
• Active bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction or eligible for reciprocity
