This is an ongoing partner-level search, handled confidentially. The requirement is re-confirmed each cycle with the client, and the description below is the current version.

Senior real estate and construction litigation partner role based in Portland. The position focuses on handling complex construction disputes and related commercial litigation for a broad range of private- and public-sector clients.

The successful candidate will lead matters from intake through trial or alternative dispute resolution, manage and develop a team of litigators, and work with clients on risk mitigation and contract drafting related to construction and real estate projects.

This is a visible business-development role: the firm seeks a partner who will grow local market presence and expand the practice’s client relationships in the Pacific Northwest.

  • Proven partner-level experience in construction litigation and related real estate disputes.
  • Track record of leading trials, arbitrations, and complex case management.
  • Strong business-development skills and existing client relationships in the construction/real estate sector.
  • Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
  • Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction or eligibility to transfer; willingness to mentor and develop junior lawyers.

If the fit is not obvious on paper, a conversation is still worth having — the specification tends to follow the practice.
