Apply in confidence →

This remains an active partner-level search, handled confidentially. The brief is revisited each cycle with the client, and what follows is the current brief.

Established national law firm seeks a senior lateral partner to build and lead tax controversy and tax litigation work from its San Diego office. The role offers substantial responsibility for originating and managing contested tax matters across federal and state forums.

The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team handling corporate and individual tax disputes, working closely with litigation and tax specialists. This is an opportunity to shape a growing practice group and mentor junior lawyers.

  • Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
  • Proven partner-level experience in tax controversy and tax litigation
  • Strong trial and appellate litigation skills and courtroom experience
  • Bar admission in California or ability to qualify; excellent client development record

Where the match is not obvious from the description, it is usually still worth talking — partner briefs move with the candidate.
