Short-term consultant roles for experienced non-contentious construction lawyers across the UAE. Assignments are typically six months (full-time) with opportunities for longer or flexible engagements based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

Work will focus on drafting and negotiating construction-related documentation (including FIDIC and bespoke forms), O&M/FM contracts and related project documents across power, infrastructure, buildings and energy projects. Roles sit with either major project owners, government entities or within a specialist projects legal team.

These positions suit self-directed lawyers who are comfortable operating as external consultants, taking ownership of engagements, and leveraging broad project-sector experience in a fast-paced delivery environment.

  • 5-7 years' post-qualification experience in non-contentious construction, projects or infrastructure.
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating FIDIC and bespoke construction contracts, plus O&M/FM agreements.
  • Experience advising contractors, subcontractors and design professionals on large-scale projects (power, infrastructure, buildings, energy).
  • Background at a top-tier construction/projects practice; recent in-house experience with an energy, transport or infrastructure organisation is an advantage.
  • Experience in the Middle East and Arabic language skills preferred.
  • Eligible practising certificate (or equivalent) entitling you to practise in the region; consultant mindset and ability to work autonomously.
