Apply in confidence →Contract, fee-earning role (approx. 12–18 months) for a lawyer to conduct high-volume legal document review on complex construction matters. The role is primarily remote and autonomous, with regular team meetings held virtually or at the Montréal office.
Responsibilities include analyzing and extracting key legal points from emails, technical and project documents; drafting memoranda; supporting preparation for examinations on discovery and hearings; and contributing to case strategy and team reporting.
Bilingual work in French and English is essential due to the nature of the documents and deliverables.
- Degree in civil law from a recognized university
- Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
- 1–5 years of relevant litigation or construction-related experience
- Strong written and oral French and English; ability to analyse, summarise and extract legal issues
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail and diligence
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Familiarity with document-review platforms (Relativity, Nextpoint or similar) is an asset
