Apply in confidence →Senior role in a busy public law and procurement disputes team advising on the full procurement lifecycle. The team handles high‑profile judicial reviews, urgent procurement challenges and damages claims for both contracting authorities and bidders across regulated sectors such as healthcare, defence, transport, infrastructure and energy.
The postholder will lead complex, time‑sensitive matters, take supervised responsibility for case management, instruct counsel and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams. You will provide commercially focused advice at both advisory and litigation stages and help drive business development for the practice.
There is a strong emphasis on client relationship management, mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to a collaborative team that integrates public law, procurement and disputes expertise. Support for professional development and use of legal technology is provided.
- Qualified solicitor with either c.6+ years PQE (Managing Associate) or c.8+ years PQE (Legal Director) in private practice.
- Proven track record of handling public procurement disputes and judicial review matters (bringing and defending challenges).
- Experience of running time‑critical litigation, instructing counsel and managing case teams to tight court deadlines.
- Strong commercial judgment, client management and business development skills; ability to mentor junior lawyers.
- Comfortable working across regulated sectors and with legal technology to improve delivery.
