Join a leading media and entertainment litigation team representing major studios, streaming services, production companies, technology companies, and news organizations. This midlevel associate role offers the chance to work on sophisticated, high-profile disputes and advise clients throughout the content lifecycle—from development and production through release and claims response.

You will defend copyright, trademark, and idea-submission claims, including disputes over substantial similarity, fair use, and the public domain. The practice also involves litigating defamation, right-of-publicity, and related claims in state and federal court. Associates take on meaningful responsibility early, are integrated into case strategy and client relationships, and receive direct mentorship from partners.

The team is collaborative, fast-paced, and committed to professional growth. Many partners began as associates in the group, and entrepreneurial lawyers have real opportunities to build lasting practices. The firm is recognized for its media and entertainment practice and values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • 3–5 years of litigation experience at a law firm
  • Excellent analytical and legal writing skills
  • Desire to own cases and maintain high standards for work product
  • Comfort working directly with clients and mentoring junior lawyers
  • Genuine interest in content disputes; prior media, copyright, or entertainment experience is a plus but not required
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality with commitment to excellent client service
  • JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in California
