A leading law firm is seeking a mid-level to senior associate to join its corporate practice in Washington, DC, focused on mergers and acquisitions. The role involves primarily US-focused transactional work for clients with sophisticated needs.

The successful candidate will take a hands-on role across the deal lifecycle — drafting and negotiating definitive and ancillary transaction documents, running the deal process, and managing client relationships — while supervising and mentoring junior associates and handling day-to-day demands and workflow across a variety of M&A matters.

Candidates should bring strong M&A experience, sound academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

3–7 years of M&A experience
Experience drafting and negotiating definitive and ancillary transaction documents
Ability to manage deal process and client relationships
