Top-tier national private equity practice is seeking a mid-level corporate associate (4-6 years) to join its private equity team. The role is open in multiple U.S. offices, including Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York, and will support buyouts, recapitalizations, growth financings, and related transactional work across a range of industries.

The team represents private equity funds, independent sponsors, family offices and portfolio companies on M&A, leveraged transactions, financings, entity formation and joint ventures. Associates are expected to take early client-facing responsibility and work collaboratively with senior lawyers and junior team members.

4-6 years post-qualification experience with private equity transaction experience required
Proven experience drafting and negotiating transaction agreements and managing deal closings
Strong legal research, analytical, written and oral communication skills
Ability to supervise more junior team members and work effectively in a team
Excellent organisation and project-management skills; able to work to deadlines
Bar admission in the office state or eligibility to obtain admission via reciprocity
