Growing US practice seeks a junior associate to join a national M&A clearance team with openings in Chicago or Washington, DC. The role sits within the antitrust/competition group and supports corporate and private equity matters focused on merger control compliance.

Day-to-day work will center on Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) reportability assessments and preparation/filing of HSR notifications, coordinating with clients, corporate teams and opposing counsel. You may also assist on substantive antitrust analysis, Second Request responses and international merger control coordination.

Team members and senior antitrust lawyers provide training and oversight. The role requires strong drafting and communication, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment.

Approximately 1 year post-qualification experience in antitrust/competition M&A clearance work, including HSR filings
Background in regulatory or corporate M&A, or experience with private equity clients, is a plus
Experience preparing HSR forms, assessing reportability and coordinating multi-party filings
Excellent drafting, communication skills and strong attention to detail; ability to work to tight deadlines
