Mid-Level Labor & Employment Associate — Jacksonville

A national law firm is hiring a mid-level associate to join its Labor & Employment group in the Jacksonville office. The team represents employers across the full spectrum of employment matters, including compliance counseling, traditional labor issues, internal investigations, and employment litigation in federal and state courts and arbitral forums.

The role offers immediate, hands-on responsibility defending employers against claims under federal and state employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, FLSA, ERISA and state civil rights statutes) and representing unionized employers in labor matters. The practice serves clients across industries such as transportation, hospitality, education, healthcare, and consumer products.

This position provides courtroom and arbitration experience, opportunities for substantive client work, and participation in high-stakes employment litigation and counseling matters.

• Juris Doctor and admission to practice in the relevant state jurisdiction (Jacksonville/Florida preferred).
• Experience handling employer-side employment litigation and counseling matters, including discrimination, retaliation, wage‑and‑hour, restrictive covenant, and ERISA claims.
• Familiarity with federal and state employment statutes and regulatory processes.
• Demonstrated litigation and arbitration experience (court appearances, brief-writing, motion practice).
• Strong drafting, analytical, and client-communication skills; ability to manage multiple matters and work collaboratively on teams.
