The role involves counseling on classification, valuation, country-of-origin and preference programs, import compliance programs, tariff mitigation, and supply-chain optimization.

Work will include representing clients before U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) — including protests, binding rulings, audits, prior disclosures and enforcement matters — and handling customs litigation at the Court of International Trade. JD from an accredited law school and admission to the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
4–6 years’ experience in national security, global trade, or customs/import compliance
Experience advising on customs law (classification, valuation, country of origin, marking, preference programs) and designing import compliance programs
Experience interacting with CBP or other U.S. government agencies preferred; prior time at a law firm, government agency, or in-house on customs matters is valued
Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and project-management skills; ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced team environment
