Fast-growing IP team is seeking a technically trained patent agent/advisor to support patent counseling, prosecution, and litigation across software and AI matters. The role involves conducting prior-art and freedom-to-operate searches, analyzing technical literature, drafting patent applications and office-action responses, and advising attorneys on technical issues for litigation and depositions.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and substantive industry experience in software or AI/ML. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with attorneys and technologists are essential.

Degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical field
Broad scientific knowledge in computer science or electrical engineering; expertise in artificial intelligence / machine learning strongly preferred
Experience with prior-art searching, patent drafting, and preparing responses to office actions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to work collaboratively with legal teams
Eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet requirements for registration as a patent agent
