A leading law firm is seeking a highly motivated patent agent or advisor to join its busy patent counseling, prosecution, and litigation practice. This role offers substantive work at the intersection of software, computer science, and intellectual property.

The successful candidate will conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, analyze patents and scientific documents to support attorneys in prosecution, counseling, and litigation, draft patent applications and responses to office actions, and advise lawyers on technology issues in preparation for depositions.

Substantive industry experience and a degree in software, computer science, or a related field
Broad scientific knowledge in computer science or electrical engineering
Expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning strongly preferred
Superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English
Initiative, fast learner, and strong collaborator
Eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet requirements for registration as a patent agent
