We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual with substantive industry experience and a degree in software, computer science, or a related field to join our busy patent counseling, prosecution, and litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology matters, including artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Duties include conducting prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses; analyzing patent and scientific papers and documents to assist patent attorneys on patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation; drafting patent applications and responses to office actions; and advising lawyers on technology issues in preparation for depositions.

Degree in software, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
Substantive industry experience
Broad scientific knowledge in computer science or electrical engineering
Expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning strongly preferred
Superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English
Eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet requirements for registration as a patent agent
Initiative, fast learner, and works well with others
