An internationally recognized full-service law firm is seeking a German or European Patent Attorney with a chemistry background to join its patent litigation group in Düsseldorf. The firm's patent practice is among the leading in Germany, with a strong record of industry recognition for intellectual property work.

The role is primarily focused on patent litigation. Responsibilities include managing opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office and the German Patent and Trademark Office, nullity and utility model cancellation proceedings, and supporting infringement actions. You will also have the opportunity to work on proceedings before the Unified Patent Court.

You will draft pleadings and participate in oral hearings, with cross-border matters and close collaboration with international colleagues a regular feature of the work. Much of the EPO and client communication is conducted in English. Strong and broad scientific knowledge in your field, with willingness to engage with adjacent technical areas
