Apply in confidence →Seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join a firm's Private Client Services group within the Tax practice in Washington, D.C. The team advises high-net-worth individuals and families on estate planning, wealth succession, family office structuring, and related tax and real estate matters.
The role involves drafting and implementing estate and gift planning documents, advising on transfer and income tax issues, and supporting clients on business succession and asset protection strategies. Collaboration with tax and real estate colleagues is expected.
Candidates should be licensed or eligible to be licensed in Washington, D.C.; completion of or enrollment in an LL.M. in taxation or estate planning is preferred. Compensation is commensurate with experience and an hours-based bonus may be available.
- 2–3 years' experience in trusts & estates and transfer tax practice
- Familiarity with associated income tax implications and estate planning techniques
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice in Washington, D.C.
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning completed or in progress preferred
