We are seeking a 3rd–6th year attorney with private equity and M&A experience to join a dynamic, team-oriented corporate practice in Washington, DC. The role sits at the center of sponsor-side work, advising private equity fund and portfolio company clients on their day-to-day transactional needs.

The successful candidate will play a lead role as an extension of client business teams, bringing sound business and strategic judgment alongside technical excellence. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility from the outset.

This is an opportunity to take on substantial deal work with private equity sponsors while collaborating closely with colleagues and clients on complex, high-value transactions.

3–6 years of private equity and M&A experience
Prior experience at a large firm working with private equity sponsors
Strong drafting, writing and analytical skills with close attention to detail
Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other ancillary transaction documents
Excellent academic credentials
Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal and project management skills
Sound business and strategic judgment; able to lead as an extension of client business teams
