We are seeking a transactional or funds attorney to join a market-leading alternative asset opportunities practice in Chicago. The group advises sovereign wealth funds and other large institutional investors on sophisticated cross-border transactions across asset classes, with significant exposure to high-value, high-complexity mandates.

The role covers secondary transactions, joint ventures, co-investments, fund investments, and other strategic investment opportunities. You will work across private equity, credit, real estate, venture capital, and infrastructure, and collaborate with transactional, tax, finance, and regulatory colleagues to deliver integrated client solutions.

This is a hands-on position managing multiple concurrent transactions from term sheet through closing, with real responsibility for deal structuring, governance, and documentation. Remote work arrangements may be considered for exceptional candidates.

2–7 years of transactional or fund experience at a major law firm, with exposure to private equity or fund formation transactions
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex investment and/or fund-related agreements
Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Interest in leveraging AI and emerging legal tools to improve quality and efficiency
