Private Equity M&A Associate — Philadelphia

A leading law firm seeks a highly qualified associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Private Equity Group in Philadelphia. The role involves working within teams and independently managing components of transactions, with exposure to a broad range of corporate and transactional matters.

Work spans mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, and exits and equity compensation. The firm operates in a collaborative, collegial and entrepreneurial atmosphere where lawyers across practice areas and geographies work together.

The ideal candidate is proactive, brings strong business sense and stellar communication skills, and can effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.

• 3+ years of relevant corporate and transactional experience
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, and exits and equity compensation
• Ability to work in teams and independently manage components of transactions
• Proactive with strong business sense and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience
• Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) and deal sheet required
