Private Equity M&A – Mid-Level/Senior Associate

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a talented mid-level to senior associate to join its Private Equity group in Washington, DC. The role offers the opportunity to work within collaborative teams while independently managing components of sophisticated transactions.

The position involves a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, and exits and equity compensation.

The firm fosters a collegial, entrepreneurial atmosphere in which lawyers and professional staff work together across practices and offices.

• 4+ years of relevant experience in private equity and corporate transactions
• Experience managing components of transactions independently as well as working in teams
• Background in M&A, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, venture capital, and exits/equity compensation
• Strong business sense, proactive approach, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships
• Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience
• Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) and deal sheet required
