Full-time associate role in a major US law firm’s Washington, DC office focused on commercial real estate finance. The team routinely represents banks, insurance companies, debt funds and other lenders on financing transactions secured by commercial property.

Work will include due diligence (title, survey, lease and other property diligence), loan origination and documentation for a variety of commercial real estate financings. There will also be exposure to mezzanine financings, CMBS/syndication work and occasional matters on the owner/operator, developer and leasing sides.

Minimum 2 years' real estate finance experience (commercial lending, banks/insurance companies/debt funds preferred)
Experience conducting title, survey, lease and other commercial property diligence
Experience with origination and documentation of loans secured by commercial property
Exposure to mezzanine loans, CMBS or loan syndication a plus; willingness to handle owner/operator, developer and leasing matters as needed
