Day-to-day work includes advising on tax credit qualification (including beginning-of-construction, prevailing wage, and apprenticeship considerations under IRC §§45 and 48), supporting M&A and joint-venture matters, and assisting on tax equity financings and tax credit transfers. The role provides meaningful client responsibility and exposure to cutting-edge renewable energy transactions.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to practice in California
- Experience in federal tax law with a focus on renewable energy tax credits and transactions (tax equity, credit transfers, financings, or related M&A)
- Familiarity with Internal Revenue Code Sections 45 and 48, including beginning-of-construction and prevailing wage/apprenticeship rules
- Strong drafting, analytical, and teamwork skills; ability to manage client-facing responsibilities on complex transactions
