Apply in confidence →A leading global law firm is seeking a resource attorney to support its Infrastructure, Energy & Real Estate practice group. This is a non-client-facing, non-billable role focused on knowledge management, thought leadership, training and business development, helping practicing attorneys stay informed, efficient and successful in a rapidly evolving legal, regulatory and commercial landscape.
The attorney will monitor and synthesize developments across federal, state and local law, regulation and policy relevant to infrastructure, energy and real estate, including restrictions and moratoriums affecting large-scale data center and development projects. The role also tracks energy generation, transmission, permitting and supply-chain issues; data center and infrastructure market trends such as stakeholder opposition, delays and geographic shifts; and financing and investment developments, including evolving capital sources, transaction structures and risk allocation.
Responsibilities include preparing internal briefings and market updates, drafting client alerts and thought leadership, maintaining forms, precedents and know-how, coordinating trainings and educational programming, and supporting pitches, RFP responses and market positioning. The attorney will respond to day-to-day research and precedent requests, collaborate across practices and offices, and work with knowledge management, innovation and technology teams to improve how practice resources and market intelligence are created and delivered.
- Licensed attorney with a minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Experience strongly preferred in one or more of: infrastructure development, energy, renewable energy, real estate, project development, project finance, land use, permitting or related regulatory matters
- Strong understanding of legal and commercial considerations affecting large-scale data center, energy and infrastructure projects
- Excellent research, writing and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex developments into practical, accessible guidance
- Experience supporting knowledge management, thought leadership, training or business development is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational and collaborative skills; comfort with legal research and technology tools
