A national Compensation & Benefits team is seeking a Senior Associate with solid ERISA and qualified-plan experience to join its US practice. The role focuses on advising employers and plan committees on tax-qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans, including design, administration, compliance and regulatory matters.

The successful candidate will work on plan document drafting and disclosures, compliance testing, IRS and DOL filings and audits, and correction matters. The team also advises on benefit-plan issues arising in transactions, and experience with ESOPs or plan-asset issues is a plus.

Minimum 6 years of ERISA/qualified-plan experience advising on tax-qualified retirement and health & welfare plans
Experience with plan design, administration, drafting plan documents and disclosures
Hands-on experience with compliance testing, IRS and DOL filings/audits, and correction programs
Experience advising on benefit issues in M&A and other transactions; ESOP and plan-asset experience preferred
Excellent academic credentials, superior writing, oral communication and analytical skills
