Established real estate team is seeking a Senior Associate to join its construction practice in London. The role focuses on predominantly non-contentious construction work across development, fit-out and refurbishment projects, with exposure to some contentious matters including adjudication and litigation.

You will work on drafting and negotiating building contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC), collateral warranties, consultant appointments and novation agreements, and provide construction input on development and occupier transactions. The role offers early client contact, varied project work and collaboration with real estate and dispute-resolution colleagues.

Qualified solicitor with 5+ years post-qualification experience in construction law.
Strong drafting and negotiation skills with practical experience of JCT, NEC and/or FIDIC contracts, collateral warranties and consultant appointments.
Experience of non-contentious construction work; some exposure to adjudication and dispute handling desirable.
Commercial, proactive approach with good client-handling skills and attention to detail.
Interest in business development and willingness to travel to other offices as required.
