An opportunity has arisen at a leading law firm for an experienced executive compensation and benefits attorney to join its New York office. The role is suited to senior-level associates or counsel who advise clients on the full spectrum of employee compensation and benefit arrangements.

The practice involves counseling employers and executives on the design, negotiation, and implementation of incentive and deferred compensation programs, equity-based awards, and executive employment and severance arrangements. The position also requires advising on the compensation and benefits aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic matters.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across corporate and employment practices, providing integrated advice on regulatory compliance matters affecting compensation and benefits programs. This is a collegial, high-caliber environment with significant client contact and responsibility.

Significant experience in executive compensation and employee benefits matters
Transactional background advising on compensation and benefits in M&A and corporate deals
Experience with equity and incentive plan design, deferred compensation, and executive employment agreements
Strong academic credentials and admission to the New York bar
Excellent written and oral communication skills
