Seeking a senior-level lawyer to join a busy executive compensation & benefits team in New York. The role focuses on advising public and private company clients on equity compensation, deferred compensation, change-in-control arrangements, tax-qualified plans, and related regulatory and securities issues.

Day-to-day work includes drafting and negotiating award agreements and plan documents, counseling on corporate transactions and restructurings with significant comp implications, coordinating with transactional and tax teams, and providing client-facing strategic advice on plan design and compliance.

J.D. and active admission to the New York bar (or pending admission)
Several years' experience in executive compensation and employee benefits counseling (equity awards, deferred compensation, plan documents)
Comfort advising on SEC/regulatory and tax-related aspects of executive pay
Strong drafting, negotiation, and client-communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across practices
