Join a market-leading Energy & Sustainability team advising across the energy transition, with a strong focus on heat networks, renewable generation, battery storage, EV infrastructure, utility connections and large-scale retrofit programmes.

The role will involve advising developers, landlords and operators on project contracts, regulatory compliance, utility/connection arrangements, PPA/heat supply agreements and grant‑funded or financed decarbonisation schemes. You will work closely with real estate, construction, planning, corporate and banking colleagues on cross‑disciplinary transactions.

This is a hands‑on senior associate role for an experienced energy lawyer who can manage complex technical matters and contribute to business development and client relationships.

  • Minimum 4 years' post‑qualification experience in energy/utility work
  • Experience advising on regulatory issues for electricity, gas and heat networks
  • Practical experience on renewable projects (solar, wind), battery storage, EV infrastructure and utility connections
  • Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills; commercial awareness and client focus
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritise to deadlines and work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent academic record and demonstrable drive
